At Cane Corso Empire, we pour heart, expertise, and intention into every puppy we raise. Because we believe in ethical placement and lifelong partnerships, our Return & Refund Policy is designed to protect both our puppies and the families who welcome them.
Please read this policy carefully before placing a deposit or completing your adoption.
✅ Final Sale Agreement
All puppy adoptions through Cane Corso Empire are considered final and binding once:
🔹 A deposit has been paid AND
🔹 A puppy has been formally reserved in your name
Due to the living, breathing nature of our puppies—and the careful matching process we undertake—we cannot accept returns or issue refunds for reasons including, but not limited to:
❌ Change of mind, lifestyle shifts, or buyer’s remorse
❌ Undiscovered allergies or housing restrictions
❌ Family disagreements or unexpected life events
❌ Financial changes after reservation
❌ Behavioral adjustments during the normal puppy transition period
We strongly encourage all prospective families to research the Cane Corso breed thoroughly, assess their readiness, and consult with our team before reserving a puppy.
💳 Deposit Terms
Deposits secure your place on our waiting list and reserve your puppy with intention.
🔸 All deposits are non-refundable
🔸 Deposits are applied toward your puppy’s total adoption fee
🔹 Once a puppy is marked “Reserved,” they are removed from availability and held exclusively for you
In limited circumstances, at our sole discretion, a deposit may be:
✅ Transferred to a future litter
✅ Applied to a different available puppy (if mutually agreed)
Deposit transfers are not guaranteed and require written confirmation from Cane Corso Empire.
🩺 Health-Related Resolutions
We stand firmly behind the health and genetic integrity of our puppies. If a serious, verified health concern arises, we are committed to working with you toward a fair resolution.
A refund or replacement may be considered ONLY if:
✔ The puppy is diagnosed with a severe, life-limiting genetic or congenital condition covered under our 24-Month Genetic Health Guarantee✔ Diagnosis is made by a licensed veterinarian or board-certified specialist✔ Written documentation (exam reports, diagnostics, test results) is submitted to us within 72 hours of concern identification✔ A second veterinary opinion is provided if requested by Cane Corso Empire
If a covered condition is confirmed, we may offer:
✨ A priority placement on our next eligible, health-tested litter
✨ OR, on a case-by-case basis, a partial or full refund of the adoption fee
Note: Minor, treatable, or stress-related illnesses (e.g., kennel cough, parasites, mild GI upset) are not eligible for refunds but are supported through our lifetime breeder guidance.
🚚 Transportation & Delivery
Whether you pick up your puppy in Orland Park, IL, or arrange professional delivery, please note:
🔸 All shipping, delivery, and travel coordination fees are non-refundable
🔸 Once a puppy has been released to a transporter, airline, or new family, the adoption is considered complete
🔸 Cane Corso Empire is not liable for delays, cancellations, or incidents caused by third-party carriers, weather, or regulatory requirements
We partner only with reputable, animal-safe transport services and provide real-time updates throughout the journey.
📦 Missed Pickups or Delivery Issues
Your puppy’s well-being depends on timely, planned transitions.
If a buyer:
❌ Fails to appear for a scheduled pickup without 24-hour notice
❌ Is unavailable at the agreed delivery time/location
❌ Cannot provide required documentation (ID, payment confirmation, etc.)
→ Additional holding fees may apply
→ Refunds will not be issued
→ In extreme cases, the reservation may be forfeited, and the puppy offered to another approved family
We understand life happens—please communicate openly and early if your plans change.
🏡 Buyer Responsibilities: Protecting Your Guarantee
To maintain eligibility for health-related support under this policy, buyers agree to:
✅ Schedule a wellness exam with a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving your puppy
✅ Provide the examination report to Cane Corso Empire upon request
✅ Maintain all recommended veterinary care, vaccinations, and parasite prevention
✅ Provide a safe, indoor family environment with proper nutrition, training, and socialization
✅ Notify us immediately of any serious health concerns or life changes affecting your puppy
Failure to fulfill these responsibilities may void health-related claims or support options.
❤️ Compassionate Rehoming Support
Life is unpredictable. If, at any point in the future, you are unable to care for your Cane Corso Empire dog, please contact us first.
While we cannot offer refunds for changes in circumstance, we pledge to:
🔹 Provide guidance on responsible rehoming practices
🔹 Offer placement assistance through our trusted network (when possible)
🔹 Accept return of the dog into our program as a last resort, subject to health/temperament evaluation
